Hi Joey, 1) I will be delivering in the month of August. Chinese always believes Chinese Calendar Month of 7 isn't a good month. This has made me worry. I will be undergoing a c-section, due to my baby girl is breech (never turn to the right position). I have selected the date, it is scheduled on 9th Aug 11, 9am to 10am. Is this a good date and time for both of us? 2) My first son was born on 9th Dec 2007, 5.12pm. I have checked the chinese calendar, it seems like that is not a good timing. Hi I am an avid fan of yours. I have seen so many of your DVDs : Xuan Kong Feng Shui (Part 1 - 5) Feng Shui with Joey Yap (Part 1 - 4) etc. Notwithstanding my readings of your teachings, I have this question to ask of you: I stay in an apartment block consisting of 20 units of maisonettes (2 storey apartments). Sometime in 2008, the entire block of apartment underwent a major renovation. Although it is a short block of 4 storey high, a lift was added to the building, making it very convenient to residents who stay at the upper floors. Is this renovation which made the walk-up apartment block became one that is served with a lift, is now considered a Period 8 structure, and if so, then all units within the block has its Period Star changed to Period 8 now ? I realise that if the fundamental question of the Period Star of a house cannot be answered, then we cannot proceed any further to discuss its Fengshui according to the Flying School method. I have done so much research but the answer to this issue seems to be pretty elusive. Thank you very much for your enlightenment. Best regards Billy Huang

Dear Joey, I had read your book on face reading and realise that a person who has a mole on the nose will not be able to keep its wealth and had also read that removing it does not help as it only make it less visible. Is there a way to improve? I find that it is very true. 2nd question: A man with nostril hair that can be seen will not have enough for himself and therefore will not be able to take care of the family, it is very true as well and wish that I had read this earlier. I hope you can give me some advice. This week I received a job offer and I need to make a decision for or against the new job soon. I have been in my current position for the last 3 years and my motives to change are:

1. I don’t see I can improve further in my current job

2. No option for further promotion

3. Reduce stress and work load which is not related to the job, but to the work environment.

I work with a large logistics company with several business units. Currently, I am with the Express Service Unit. The new job will be in a different business unit (Parcel). The position and pay are similar to the current ones. Probably, the new job will come along with more biz travels. I wonder if the new job would reveal more options for me or will it only mean going out of the frying pan into the fire. I am also afraid that if I don’t change my job the stress and work load will increase. I feel stressed as I am struggling with my boss, colleagues and forces in my projects. Probably, it is me and I need to change my approach and attitude. Maybe it’s the wrong way to think that things will become better if I change my work environment. ,p> Could you give me some advice if it would be better to stay or to change my job? My DOB is 22:45, 11-August-1974. I appreciate your help and will reward it by donating to a charity of your choice. Thanks a lot!

Hi Joey I have read a number of your books and have enjoyed trying to understand the world of Feng Shui but I am not clear on a few points

In Flying Star terms the House Facing direction - it that the direction the home faces or the direction of the main door. I feel as though I have read my some of this information incorrectly as I have made some changes such as changing my daughters bedroom into a study (she has left home) and since that time am feeling very rundown and tired. I fear that I have unbalanced my home. Could I have done this?

I have also consulted a Feng Shui / Chinese astrology Master in Penang (Malaysia) and he suggests that my life is in a good place at the moment and that my life is moving into much more positive terrain - is this right?

Your help would be much appreciated. According to me my main door is in the east of the apartment.

She has been struggling at work although she has the paper qualification and the right attitude. She has worked there for 18 years. She used to get promotion all the time but lately (the last 6-7 year) she is like being demoted. She was betrayed and backstabbed. How could I help her to overcome these obstacles? What can she do? I am doing flat hunting now.And I came to know about Feng shui and I started reading books about it.I cam to know about you from one of my friends and I started viewing your videos. I myself grabbed a copy of 'Feng-shui for Apartment buyers & Home owners'. This is a good book which I ever had about this subject.But when read through this book, I had couple of questions in my mind.They are listed below.

a) You mentioned that, Flying Star feng-shui is best suitable for apartments, not Eight mansion. Why is it so?

b) In another book on Feng-Shui, I read that, based on my date of birth(DOB- 11 oct 1976), my element is Fire, but in your book it is mentioned as Metal.Why is so?

I just bought some feng shui items to put into the respective directions as stated in the flying star chart of 2011. However, what will happen if I put the feng shui items in the wrong direction or the wrong feng shui item in the correct direction. Wlll it cause disaster to my family? I am extremely worried because my friend told me feng shui could be dangerous if not followed properly. I just use a compass to look at the directions as instructed by you in your Youtube video. Hello Master Joey! During Chinese new year- I was in Malaysia and saw you on TV regarding Dragons - and those who have female bosses will have conflict. At that time - I did not have a female boss - but had a team of 3 females which cause consistent problems. Just last week - I have been demoted at work due their constant bad attitude and complaints. Now- I have a female boss as my job has been reassigned to her. I have been with this company for over 9 years -and had progressed well until now. In the calculation for the Baxi chart, if the month of birth eg. September is consider Autumn in the northern hemisphere however in the southern hemisphere eg. Australia is consider Spring. Do we have to factor this (change this to Spring) or maintain September month to be Autumn despite on the geographical location. In your book on 'Bazi the destiny code' on page 134, it shows Sept as Autumn only. TQ Wins

Greetings master Joey Yap! Have read your first book on Bazi analysis recently- got my interest aroused. Searched through your Q + A archives...Could not find any similar question in the Search questions section either. My question is- I was a caesarean birth, so how do I determine my actual birth date and time? Now I know some women do a caesarian for "other reasons" even though they do not have birth complications, but in my case it was due to birth complications. My birth details- 1910, Sept 20, 1958 I went to a talk once by someone who uses a combination of the purple star system together with his own self-devised methods and he said that with a caesarean birth the birthdate cannot be known so it has to be "reconstructed" backwards by looking in detail on how the person's life has turned out.
