在我们公司的八字谘询服务中，最常遇到的一个情况就是我们需要帮助客户查看某人是否适合作为商业伙伴。对于分析商业伙伴这一课题，八字是相当准确和有效，但我们同时也发现，很多客户却没有看出真正的问题所在。在这一课题上，客户常把重点放在这个未来的伙伴是否能够信任，又或者想要知道这名未来的伙伴是否可以“共处”，却往往对“共处”这一词缺乏深入了解。“共处”常被解释为“我们相处一起”或者“这个人会不会带给我财富”。八字能对这些有很清晰的解答，但同时它也能做的比这更多。我们发现客户在这一课题上，较少将注意力放在为何他们想要和某个人组成合作关系（是否因某些互补的能力？），或这样的组合是否真的能有收获（换句话说，这样的合作同时也需要有难同当，一起扛起经济压力），这样的组合能走多远以及应该采取怎样的合作方式。同时，这些客户也很少考虑到他们自己是否也是一个适合的合作伙伴。
在現今社会中，一家企业面临最大的挑战，很可能就是如何招攬人才以及留住人才！在资讯爆炸的时代，一个刚毕业的社会新鮮人或者才华橫溢的管理級人才都能轻易的检视各公司或企业能给予他们的条件。或许目前在亚洲，受薪人士更关心的是薪水多或少以及公司福利如何，但渐渐的，不少受薪人士也开始关心公司或企业文化了。 许多亚洲企业并不会特別关注“企业文化”，里面的原因很多，其中可能因为企业文化是比較虛无的，同时许多亚洲企业只接受一种企业文化，那就是传統的“辛勤工作”，因为传统的亚洲企业认为只有“辛勤工作”，才 能源源不絕为公司帶来盈利！ 不过如今，一间拥有良好企业文化的公司比起那些对企业文化不闻不问的公司，最大的分別，或许就是前者能走上成功的康庄大道 ，后者则陷入无止境的人事问题中。 X时代和Y的代的年轻人如今关注的除了手上拿着的薪水、平衡的工作与休闲时间外，工作地点的企业文化已经在他们心里占了一席之地。如果他们工作的环境充斥办公室政治和尔虞我詐的关係，都会令这些新鮮人感到厌恶。
