I am buying a new house that is almost facing T junction. I heard that T junction is bad for occupant of the house. It is true? If so, what is the cure for this situation? Would it be effective to place a bagua mirror on the front of the door or planting a tree?

Dear Joey, My son is Fire Snake with Life Gua No. 2. He has just been promoted and given his own room which unfornately the door faces the Souh East direction (the Five Ghosts direction). His desk position is in the right direction though. He can't move the door so, could you pPlease adivise what can be done to thwart off the Five Ghosts negative chi. Dear sir, With reference to the chinese bazi book, I found an error or have doubt to the person born in the year 1966, Jan 26 (english calender) to be born in year of snake instead of horse year. The bazi calculation from this program and the chinese bazi book was difference in explaination. Would appreciate if you can answer to my question. Thanks

I had employed the services of a feng shui master who is also a friend of mine when we shifted to our new house in June last year. According to her, our house is a north east facing hse (main door facing NE) and is an 'earth' house. During that time, she had told us not to use colours like red, blue, purple for our house but to use colours like beige, white, brown and light yellow.. However, in the recent yearly review which we had asked her to do for the house, she has told us we cannot use green. I had already bought green material for my curtain and sofa set since she had not mentioned not to use green the 1st time. Now she says green, which is a 'wood' color will destroy the earth house. I had remembered her saying that colors will only affect 10% of feng shui but when I asked her if it was alright if I went ahead to have green sofa set and curtain, she said definitely not. I am now very confused. I do not want to get rid of the green materials which I had spend a few hundred dollars on, but on the other hand, is afraid it will be bad feng shui. There are other things which she has adviced which seems to be contradicting but since she is a friend, it is difficult for us to question her too much. Q. Is it true that I cannot use the green color material? Q. Can you please let me know what are the good colors and what are the bad colors for the house? Q. Is it that I can't put certain colors only for certain years?

I had the pleasure of attending a talk by master Joey Yap recently which was arranged by my banker, OCBC. I was told that I could e-mail Feng Shui queries if I had any. I have a query regarding renovation. My wife and I recently bought a new house and wanted to do some renovations before moving in. One of the items we wanted to do is to tile the driveway which is located in the North sector. However, I was recently advised by a friend that this was the "3 Killing" sector for 2006 and as such, I should defer this until next year. Another friend, however, told me that, as long as we haven't moved in to the house, it is fine to renovate the North sector since it is not considered our home yet. Which advise should I listen to?

hi i m just a very beginner in feng shui i find the calculators are very useful however, i m quite confused over certain results as some other websites beg to differ from urs i was born on the 5th of jan, 1978 joey said my gua number is 2 while some said is 5, which bearing similar gua element earth, kun cross checking both result of 8 mansion luckily they r the same :) just to want know what more aspect could have differrent result? another thing is my element earth or fire? some of them said since i was born in the year fire snake and my day also fire i m strong fire i should choose those colour of earth (yellow) and water (blue, black, grey) and avoid wood (green, brown) and fire (red) thank you very much :) good year ahead to u best wishes yewkwang

Dear Joey, My living hall is rather small for me to arrange my furniture, even worse as we chinese we have the alter table and ancestor table. Friends as been advising me (without any practical reason) that my tv set should not be place where its is facing opposite my praying alter(tv screen facing the alter). Is it true , and why? Dear Joey, Recently I've just attended one of your seminar (Feng Shui & Astrology for 2006). Thank you for the very interesting talk. You mentioned the overall favourable house sectors (based on flying star?) for this year. Does it apply to all house? Then there's the 8 type of houses in 2006 (mine's is Main door on NE sector with house facing N). for eg, your book mentioned that SW sector is good for Gua #1 and SE should be avoided this year. I thought that SW is not good but SE is good for Gua #1 person based on 8 mansion? Due to my limited knowledge in Feng Shui, this is rather confusing. How do I go about logically to determine which sector are good for me? Please help. Thanks so much Joey.

Dear Joey, I stay at the upper-level of a townhouse. The windows/doors are closed when I am out. When I am in, all are closed too cos house is fully air-conditioned. So does it mean that the chi in my house is stale and bad fengshui? Please advise and thank you. Karen Lim
