The Mian Xiang Mastery Series Modules 1 and 2 was held at the Mastery Academy in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur from December 12 to 15, 2008. These introductory modules were educational and eye opening for students in terms of learning all about the history, use, and effectiveness of Mian Xiang (Face Reading) techniques.

Module 1 took students through a brisk introduction of Mian Xiang fundamentals, and then introduced them to the basics of face reading, feature by feature. Module 2 was a more exhaustive study into understanding Mian Xiang, with a thorough emphasis on detailed analyses of the 5 Officers (Eyebrows, Eyes, Ears, Mouth, and Nose).

The modules were interspersed with lively personal anecdotes by Joey, and there were some lighter moments when students took to studying each other's faces in order to better understand the principles. Aside from being fun, this was also useful and enlightening as it was better for students to remember the key principles of Mian Xiang when they put it to use almost immediately.
