Joey Yap’s international book release, Pure Feng Shui, was officially launched in Borders bookstore at Charing Cross Road in London on Thursday, November 6 to an appreciative audience of enthusiasts and Feng Shui students and professionals. Audience members settled in at around 6:30 PM to hear Joey speak on the exciting possibilities of Classical Feng Shui application in modern living. He explained just how Feng Shui became somewhat tarnished over the years due to the influx of popular New Age beliefs and practices, and described how authentic Feng Shui is rooted in the classical texts and sources.
More importantly, he emphasised the Feng Shui is less about installing grandiose water fixtures or expensive porcelain figurines, and more about assessing the external landforms and internal surroundings. Audience members were happy to hear about how simple Feng Shui can really be, as Joey explained that elements of Feng Shui can be applied by non-experienced enthusiasts and students as well, as long as they make an effort to learn the proper methods and the theories behind it. The book launch ended with Joey signing copies of Pure Feng Shui for those who were present, with many taking the time to stay on and chat with Joey and with each other.
