Joey gets invite from the exclusive Young Presidents' Organization and Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) (Malaysia Chapter)

28th February 2007

It was indeed a great honor for Joey when the exclusive Young Presidents' Organization and the Entrepreneurs' Organization jointly invited him to share with their members the outlook for 2007.

The Young Presidents' Organization (YPO), founded in 1950, is a prestigious international peer-to-peer network that connects young global business leaders in more than 80 countries worldwide. And it's that exclusive because membership is by invitation only – and prospective members must be below 45 years of age, holding top posts such as Presidents, Chairmen, CEOs or MDs of multi-national, public-listed companies or large private corporations.

The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) similarly is an elite organization founded 20 years ago by young, energetic entrepreneurs. It is a global community of business owners, all of whom run companies with revenue exceeding certain criteria, and has more than 6000 members with over 120 Chapters in 40 Countries around the globe.

The occasion was part of the Chinese New Year celebrations for the select group of top business leaders in the Country.

After a quick cocktail hour that gave many of the members a chance to get to know Joey better, Joey was ushered in for dinner, during which a lion dance performance entertained guests. Just after dinner, all eyes were trained on Joey as he took to the stage and commenced his talk by sharing the general outlook for 2007 – focusing on the economic, commercial and business prospects for the year, in particular. Most – if not all – minds must have been set at ease when Joey noted that the economic outlook for the Year of the Fire Boar should be better than that of 2006's.

Having established a steadfast rapport with his audience, Joey then plunged into a narration of the 12 zodiac animals – interspersing his discussion with crucial advice and tips to help his listeners make the most of what he'd shared with them over the evening.

It was nearly 11 p.m. when Joey finally thanked his audience and exited the stage. He later joined them for the late dinner that ensued, where YPO and EO members also took the opportunity to approach him to clarify their doubts.
