Face Reading Seminar - Perth, Australia (10th December 2006)
“Now, take a look at the person on your right, and the person on your left…”
Ever pragmatic and innovative in his approach, this was one of Joey Yap’s suggestion to people from all walks and professions – even professional practitioners and consultants of Metaphysics – who came from near and far, and from across the breadth and width of Australia (and Oceania). They all converged upon Perth for one purpose:
To attend Joey’s Secrets of Face Reading Seminar! For many, it was their maiden voyage sailing into previously uncharted waters. Others, including Mastery Academy students based in Australia, came to delve deeper into this exciting and interesting Metaphysical science.
And Joey didn’t disappoint, by taking his capacity audience on an enchanting journey into the almost mystical science of Face Reading. With an ancient lineage predating more than four millennia, the Chinese Metaphysical art of Face Reading has served emperors, courtesans and even commoners in virtually every endeavor possible. These range from strategic advice, to finding suitable life-partners. Today, Mian Xiang – or the Science of Reading Facial Physiognomy – is recognized as a potent tool, capable of allowing the trained eye to size up friend and foe alike, with just a glance at this most exposed feature of our body.
As time was a luxury he did not have, Joey explained to his listeners that while he wouldn’t be able to comprehensively explain the `whys’ behind techniques, they may certainly expect to learn `how’ this science may be put to good use in learning more about the people they interact with, everyday. He proceeded to introduce and elaborate upon the 12 Palaces, which refer to twelve particular facial features that relate to our Destiny, Health, Wealth, Relationship and Career aspects.
Eager and attentive, participants were soon absorbed in following Joey’s explanations. Of course, everyone was well on the edge of their seats when he plunged deeper into the practical applications and aspects of Face Reading, especially its relevance in gaining a better and more profound understanding of others. In particular, Joey explained the importance of the Marriage Palace in determining a person’s compatibility with a potential spouse, as well as Career, Wealth and Life Palaces in determining their corresponding aspects in real-life situations.
Participants certainly made good use of the mid-day break, with many approaching Mastery Academy staff to inquire about future courses and seminars. Joey also took this opportunity to catch up with his students, occasionally clarifying questions on different Chinese Metaphysics subjects posed by them.
The second half of the day saw Frenchman Zinedane Zidane, whose goal-scoring prowess on the pitch needs no further introduction to football fans, being used as an analytical sample. If checking out that cute chick or dashing bloke next to you proved to be a bit daunting, then it was certainly safer and easier to analyze the facial features of someone who’s not present!
Those who were seen clutching books authored by Joey wasted no time in approaching him for his autograph, during the second break session. And Joey graciously obliged, pausing now and then to exchange a few words and anecdotes with his audience.
The Seminar was a resounding success, with Joey’s new fans and enthusiasts staying behind to personally speak to him and have any doubts they had clarified. Joey was only too happy to oblige and his charismatic manner, peppered with the occasional joke, soon had everyone in stitches as they duly found their doubts and curiosity satisfied. It is perhaps safe to say that there was a general sense of satisfaction in the air; everyone had gained something invaluable and useful, by spending that particular Sunday in an auditorium with Joey Yap.
The next time you are inclined to take something – or someone – at face value, remember:
