Seven locations, two days, the best Qi (Part 1/7)

Know the land, know the country, know yourself. There can be few better ways to begin to understand just where you’re coming from than by practising Feng Shui.

And take a hike! Twenty-five local and foreign alumni of the Joey Yap Academy recently committed to two full days of the Feng Shui Discovery Malaysia excursion series to do just this.

They looked through the eyes of facilitator Joe Boey, listened and understood. They felt the Qi for themselves and tapped into it at seven carefully chosen locations around the Klang Valley and Seremban.

The entourage departed for each place at the most conducive times and respective directions of the hourly Qi Men chart. Here’s the first of our special 7-part series in conjunction with Merdeka-Malaysia Day season. Stay tuned for the next six!

Aetas is something of an unlikely residential development within the calm, old-school Seputeh enclave neighbouring the ever-bustling Mid Valley commercial centre.

Unlikely, because it’s in a concave or amphitheatre-like setting, where QI can flow into, collect and circulate. This is the broad overview, of course; the type of land forms that give rise to this formation, and their orientation to Aetas would determine what types of timely Qi are available for it to tap into.

Here is where the practitioner’s wisdom is called upon, Boey told the participants. Dato’ Joey Yap and his team were engaged to assess the area and optimise the development plan.

They identified all the landforms and ensured the entry and exit points for Qi were in the right compass sectors, plus correctly aligned to their matching directions. And that’s just for starters.

In short, the residents of Aetas will be able to cultivate learning and prosperity over several generations.
