Malaysians and Feng Shui enthusiasts from across the region including Singapore, India, Indonesia and as far as Australia and Spain
turned out in full force for Joey Yap’s Secrets of Face Reading seminar, held in Kuala Lumpur on the 14th of August 2005 at Nikko Hotel.
Despite the haze situation, it was a full house, with over 1600 participants attending this event to learn more about the ancient Chinese
art of Face Reading or Mian Xiang. The haze it seemed, fazed none of the attendees, who were set for an exciting, entertaining and utterly
scintillating day of learning how to read a person’s face.
“Wow! This seminar is powerpacked! I loved the presentation! He (Joey) is so humorous with the face reading skills. I learned so much.
I started to read my friends immediately. Whoa the techniques is so accurate! I am still in awe” – Chelsea Seet, Petaling Jaya

The 1500 strong crowd packed the seminar room and the organizers had to add extra chairs to accommodate many people who showed up on the day, hoping to be
able to get a seat. It was wall-to-wall of seats in the seminar room and every one was filled up, a testament to Joey’s crowd drawing power and the growing
interest in Feng Shui and Face Reading.
“Finally I get to see Joey Yap in person. He’s much better (more animated) live than he is on TV! Face reading is so fascinating. I am
impressed with the huge amount of information I’ve gotten in just one day. I didn’t expect to learn so much. Joey you are too generous.
(so is this 2 fingers or 3 fingers space between the eyebrows?hehe )” – Ting Kim Wai, Kuala Lumpur

The talk kicked off with a brief introduction of Mian Xiang by Joey, who in his typical witty and entertaining manner, had the
crowd warmed up and completely enthralled from the word go. Reciting the various classical verses from the ‘How Do You Know Song’ (He Ci Ge),
Joey explained to the audience how face reading observations call reveal everything from how to spot a man who is afraid of his wife
(eyebrows that suppress the eyes) to why a slightly protruding chin is a good thing!
“I never knew you can tell sooo many things from the face reading. This seminar is worth every penny! I laughed the whole way through.
Joey you should come up with a book just on your face reading jokes. It will be even better if you can include those nice poems you
recite in Chinese about the faces. How do you remember all this? I am still so impressed.” – Patrick Teo, KL.

After the break, Joey moved on to the 5 officers and 12 Palaces and showed the participants how they could find out more about their
health, wealth, career and relationship luck, and personality traits, just by looking at the correct facial features. He demonstrated not just
fixed position reading techniques (techniques to read a face using just one position) but also gave the audience examples of multiple position reading
techniques, where a combination of facial features is used to arrive at a conclusion about a person’s destiny and luck.
As always Joey had the crowd in stitches and roaring with laughter frequently throughout the seminar. Many ladies could be spotted checking their
faces with their compact mirrors during the seminar while many men were busy checking how good their noses (wealth palace) were!
The coffee breaks saw Joey besieged with questions from the public and many eager to get his autograph as well for their copies of
BaZi: The Destiny Code and Stories and Lessons on Feng Shui, Joey’s best-selling books. His latest DVD series on Face Reading, also attracted significant interest.
“I’ve been in the corporate line for so many years and usually in a seminar, people fall asleep or leave after the first 2 hours.
In your seminar today, you held all 1500 people glued to their seat smiling wanting for more! Bravo. I was at Royal China opposite the
hotel when it rained and I could see your participants braving the rain to get back to your seminar. My goodness, how people actually enjoyed
your talk. In a normal event, people would have just left. Joey Yap you are truly inspiring as a presenter. I am your new fan.” – H.S. Lee

By the end of the day, participants had learnt the 100 year map of the face, thus knowing which facial position to examine for their own wealth luck,
and a few interesting ‘trade secrets’ on finding good husbands and choosing a good housemaid! No doubt, many participants went away armed with plenty
of useful (and not so practically useful but certainly interesting!) information and techniques. For most of the participants, it was no doubt, a Sunday
afternoon well spent!
