Dato' Joey Yap was engaged to give an hour-long talk on the Feng Shui for Homebuyers & Outlook for 2014 by IJM Corporation Berhad in a special Chinese New Year event held on February 9, 2014 in one of the show houses in the Shng Villas property development in Kuala Lumpur. The festive event was attended by 200 clients of the property development firm.

Dato' Joey's talk enlightened the guests on several topics and outlook related to the investment prospects for next year. First, he showed the BaZi Chart for 2014, and highlighted several investment issues that might crop up this year based on the Chart. To strengthen his points, he incorporated the art of Face Reading, or Mian Xiang, for those who wish to know the facial features that correlate with one's potential in different investment activities.

Lastly, he showed the participants the easy ways of identifying the negative features of a property by observing the external environment.
