On January 9th 2005, Joey Yap was invited by Taning Yandono, the Mastery Academy Representative in Indonesia to give a talk on Feng Shui for the Year 2005 and Period 8.

Many of the Mastery Academy students from Indonesia as well as members of the public in Indonesia filled the room at Hotel Ciputra. It was a reunion for many students who had come from all over Indonesia to hear Joey Yap talk. This was Joey's first official visit to Jakarta and he was overwhelmed by the response he received from the many participants.

Joey Yap began by elaborating on classical Feng Shui and clarifying the many superstitions and mis-truths surrounding Feng Shui today. He also went on to lay down the fundamentals of classical Feng Shui so that the attendees would start out on the correct path.

The Talk then proceeded into Feng Shui for Period 8 before breaking for a quick lunch. Many of the eager attendees had requested a short lunch as they wanted to get back quickly to the talk. The second half of the talk focused on the Feng Shui and Astrology for 2005. This was the first time perhaps Joey's students (and staff who accompanied him to the talk) has heard him speak in Bahasa during a talk as he casually slips in a sentence or two to illustrate a point.

The questions came thick and fast and Joey Yap was very happy to answer all of them and clarify any points that the students were unclear about. Some even brought their house plans to ask Joey personal questions during the tea-breaks.

It was a lively experience and much thanks must go to Taning Yandono who worked very hard to put this class together.
