Joey Yap was invited by MPH Bookstores Malaysia to launch his newly released series of books, Bazi Essentials -The Ten Day Masters, at its store in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. The launch was held between 3 and 5 PM on April 20, 2010.

Available in both English and Chinese editions, the BaZi Essentials series comprises 10 handy-sized books - with each book focusing on one individual Day Master - and has already hit online sales of more than 20,000 copies.

Unlike typical book launches, this particular launch was much more than about fans meeting their favorite writer and getting to know him better. Those who were present to witness the launch of the BaZi Essentials series also got to meet the 10 Day Masters, making it one unique occasion for BaZi fans to get to know their own true selves better!

After explaining to the audience how the idea for the series came about, Joey talked at length what the Day Masters are all about essentially. He emphasized why it is important for people to understand how their respective Day Masters can influence and impact on their own character, work personality, business acumen, relationships with family, friends and colleagues as well as money matters.

As members of the audience embarked on an enthralling journey of self-discovery led by Joey, they could not help but laugh at themselves and with others when he highlighted some of their hidden traits, peculiar tendencies and idiosyncrasies as determined by their Day Masters.

With their interest piqued, they were naturally keen to find out more about themselves and the people in their lives at the question-and-answer session held with Joey. Some even continued to seek more information from him during the ensuing book-signing session and while enjoying some refreshments at the La Cucur cafe in MPH. Mingling with the guests were invited members of the press who had interviewed Joey earlier on.
