BaZi Mastery Series Module 4 was held from December 16 to 20, 2009 in the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur - a luxurious, new five-star hotel that served scrumptious food amidst an elegant ambience. It was the perfect venue for the final module of the BaZi Mastery Series.
As the most advanced level of the BaZi Mastery Series, Module 4 was intensive with content, and Joey Yap took his graduating students through all 60 Jia Zi (Pillars) and their attributes. As the students learned how to extract useful information from each of the pillars, they got to put their analytical skills into instant application by giving accurate and thorough readings of numerous BaZi charts.
In addition to having requisite knowledge of all three preceding modules, BaZi Module 4 students had to intensify their understanding of highly sophisticated BaZi concepts by deciphering the Five Element Sheng Ke classics, such as Di Tian Sui, Qiong Tong Bao Jian, Yuan Hai Zi Peng and San Ming Tong Hui.
Excitement in the class peaked when students were taught how to use BaZi as a personalised tool for Date Selection. In view of the increasing demand for BaZi practitioners to calculate dates for Caesarean births, this skill is now much valued as one great revenue earner.
Besides techniques, Joey also shared ample examples to make the course easy to follow, and there were more practical exercises than ever before. The hallmark of BaZi Module 4 is to transform students into professional practitioners. As such, every participant had to go through the paces of conducting a consultation with a client in class.
Throughout the gruelling five days of deep study, the prevailing serious mood was constantly punctuated with laugher. The one-liners encountered during the immersion in the ancient classical texts were witty and humorous, and so were Joey's disarmingly frank commentaries.
There was also much camaraderie among the students and the Mastery Academy staff as most faces had become familiar with the succession of each module of the BaZi Mastery Series.
The course culminated in the graduation of the Module 4 students. Receiving their hard-earned Diploma with Distinction were Ms Carol Goh from Singapore, Robert Brown from Australia and Josephine Phang from Kuala Lumpur. It was double the joy for Carol when all present at the graduation dinner joined in to celebrate her birthday.
