The crowd that packed the Novotel Hotel in Mississauga, Toronto in Canada on that chilly Sunday morning of March 22 were more than warmed up by their feelings of excitement and anticipation. They were awaiting the start of Joey Yap's annual Feng Shui and Astrology for 2009 seminar, which carried the theme 'Thriving in Challenging Times' for this particular year.

Chairs were added on that very day as the above-capacity crowd packed the venue hall to the brim. The audience members present - old fans and new alike - were eager to get started, excitedly thumbing through their handbooks and materials as they registered for the event. Members of the media were also present at the event, and were seen filming and interviewing Joey throughout the day.

Joey then took to the stage to a round of roaring applause, and wasted no time in launching into the seminar. He started off with an introductory overview of the Feng Shui and BaZi outlook for the year ahead in 2009, and then gave industry and economic breakdowns based on the Five Elements from a Feng Shui perspective.

The BaZi outlook for the year provided the audience members with the astrological forecast for the year. Going deeper into the subject matter than what typical 12 Animal Sign forecasts predict, Joey's forecast provided the audience with unique, interesting insights and generated laughter from the audience members on more than one occasion.

During the lunch break, participants had a good opportunity to browse through the booths that had been set up to get an idea of the Mastery Academy offerings, such as Joey's latest books, software, and tools.

Suitably energized after the lunch break, the session that began right after was an exploration of the Astrology outlook for 2009. Those who had their BaZi charts printed out in advance found it relevant and useful to have that in hand as Joey went over his explanations. The Face Fortune segment was also a highlight, because it showed participants how certain parts of the face directly correlates to different areas of your life.

The Date Selection aspect of the talk was interesting, as Joey called up a participant and shared with the audience her personal experience using Joey's Date Selection tips from a previous year. As Joey explained, according to her, she had followed and implemented his tips on Date Selection that were given last year. She promised herself that if his date activation tips worked, she would come back again to see him for any of his events that took place in Toronto. As it turns out, 20 minutes after activating the Date Selection technique, she received a call for a 1.5 million real estate deal - more than she had ever received in her life as an agent! Suffice to say, this convinced her of the potency of Joey's Date Selection methods... and served as a truly inspiring story for all who were present!

A book signing session took place after the event. Participants were clamouring to get Joey's autograph, and to find an opportunity to exchange a few words with him. Many were reluctant to leave and continued to linger long after their turn was over. Quite a few were also happy to be able to take some photographs with him.

A fresh and dynamic presentation style combined with his unique, detailed insights made this one seminar to remember for all who were present!
