I watched the 2nd episode today and found it very interesting. Unfortunately I turned on the TV late and missed the beginning. My birthdate is 20/1/59. I was told that my Kua number is 5. However, in your program you said something about adding 2 if I was a male. Does it mean my Kua number is therefore 7? Thank you.

Dear Steven, You do not use the 2 when working out your gua number. In your case you add up the last two digits of the year of birth and subtract them from 10. In your case you were effectively born in 1958 as the new year is regarded as the 4th February. eg 5 + 9 = 14 1 + 4 = 5 Now this is where you became confused. There is no Gua for a 5, so if you end up as a 5 Gua, as you have, then if it is a male, as in your case, it takes on the qualities of a Gua 2 and if you are a female she takes on the qualities of a Gua 8.
