Question Posted: 2 Feb 2006 at 12:00:00 AM
Dear Joey, The main door of my apartment unit is located in the south east sector of the apartment but the door opening orientates towards the south west, which direction should I use when applying feng shui especially using the flying star chart? Note: The whole block of apartment is in fact faces north looking out from the balcony, the main entrance at the guard house faces west whilst the lift entrance faces south.

Dear Max, When doing feng shui on an apartment, you need to check where the qi mouth is. That means, where is the cource of the energy or qi. It will be where the whole building receives qi from the outside. In other words it is where the main entrance (main door)to the building is. Then you see where in the building your apartment is ie south in the buiding or Nw etc. Then go to your apartment and find the source of YOUR qi to your apartment. When looking at doorways the LOCATION of the door is more important than the direction it faces. BUT when determining the facing of the whole building, for flying the stars, then it is the facing of the whole building as stated before and then the chart is reduced into your unit. Regards Di
