Question Posted: 9 Dec 2005 at 12:00:00 AM
Dear Joey, I've found an affordable apartment that I quite like but the problem is that the kitchen is located at the SW. From some books that I read, it is a taboo to have our kitchen located at the SW & NW as it will affect the paternal and maternal luck. Is it true? Can you please share with me what we should look for when buying an apartment? Is it bad to have underground running water near the apartment? Thanks. Rgds, Grace Lau

Dear Grace, it is not true that the kitchen cannot be in the SW or NW - or any other sectors for that matter. So don't worry. The 'ideal' location for the stove would be different for each property, based on the facing direction and sometimes, the floor level. If the water is underground, unexposed, and hidden, then it does not have a Feng Shui effect. All the best! SN
