Question Posted: 5 Nov 2005 at 12:00:00 AM
I recently purchased a house built in 1962. It is an N1 facing house. It had a fire in it in 2001 and the roof, floors and front door were replaced. It was sold in 2003 and sat vacant until we bought it in Sept 2005. My question is this: Is it a period 7 house due to the renovation, or a period 8 house because it has sat empty for more than 100 days? I don't want to put my water and mountain features in the wrong places so please answer my question. Thank you.

Dear LahLah, it is LIKELY a Period 8 house. A practitioner usually draws up two charts of both Periods and observe which one matches the Gua and event analyses. If you have a difficulty establishing the right chart, why not use Eight Mansions House Gua instead? What do you mean by water and mountain features? Not every property can support water. And neither is water compulsory to make 'good Feng Shui'. If you need a quicker fix, look to the annual stars. Cheers! SN
