Dear Jass, interesting question you brought up. Did you know that there are books on theories as well as case studies? Nobody said that West facing houses are bad. What you have been exposed to (Eight Mansions, Flying Stars, etc) is just scratching the surface of Feng Shui. Take House Gua for example - the theory part goes deeper still, and in the practitcal aspects, we have not even started with external landforms (qualifies the property), floor plan layout (Qi flow and redistribution), occupant (different affects for each individual, be they man/woman, old/young, etc), and time (Qi fluctuates in multiple cycles). With proper placing of the person you CAN sleep in negative House Gua sectors - if not we only have four rooms we can use in every house, right? Feng Shui (consulting) is not a subject picked up over a book and coffee, but with the JY show, we hope to educate people as to what Classical Feng Shui really looks like. Hope this answers your question. Cheers! SN
