Hi Joey, I have just finished reading The Bazi Destiny Code, a well presented and structured book for a biginner. for the calculation of the Hourly pillar, there are other refereces that recommended the local time of birth be adjusted to Beijing's time for accurate reading as BAZA originates from CHina, what is your view ? and also some uses the following day for the Day pillar if the time of birth is after 11 pm, Is that correct ? thanks and look forward to your reply.

Dear Cheah, glad you enjoyed the book. You only use China's time if you were BORN IN China. We are talking about the Qi that dominates during the hour of birth. So of course we should take the local time (location of birth) because China would be going through a different Qi phase at the same moment. Plus, China is so big - why Beijing? 11.00pm-11.59pm is the late rat hour (previous day), 12.00am-12.59am is the early rat hour (next day). So if you were born before 12am, follow the same day pillar as usual. Cheers! sherwin
