1) Is it a myth or truth that a flushing toilet on the second floor of the house ( which is directly above the living room ) will flushed away all the good luck? 2) My living room sofa is directly under the beam, I was adviced by some that it is not auspicious, is it true, if its true then please advice me on the method of overcoming this.

Dear Alan - MYTH! so no worries there. Qi cannot be flushed away by the toilet, good or bad. Sitting directly under a beam is normally not recommended. Can you move a little? Cheers - SN
