Dear Sam, this is actually talking about two different things - the 'fixed' Qi distribution in a property, and the dynamic Time aspect of Qi (cycles every Year, Month, Day, etc). If your main door is in a good House Gua location, it's considered a good start already. If you want to chase the annual 'Wang Qi' (star 8), simply use that sector more frequently. So let's say the star 8 flies into your 'Wu Gui' sector next year, can you still use it for wealth? Yes you can. BUT it doesn't mean the 'Wu Gui' has turned good. It may still bring you back-stabbing and betrayal at the same time. (Many things can happen at the same time right?). We can't have everything all at once in life. It's the same with Feng Shui. So we always go back to the essentials (main door, stove, bed room) to ensure the best possible turnout.
