No doubt different Feng Shui Masters may recommend different things, however, it is your right to ask them each WHY or HOW they arrive to a certain conclusion. Seeking the advise of a Feng Shui Master is akin to seeking the advice from a doctor. Different doctors may have come up with a slighlty different diagnosis. But each would have their reasons. You should evaluate which one sounds more logical to you.
Personally I am not in favor of putting any oriental 'items' to help cure or fix a FEng Shui problem. I personally do not see how or why an 'item' could generate Qi / Energy - especially with flutes - which are probably better off for Musicians.
However, I do agree with the use of Direction and Location. So I would suggest that you speak to your Feng SHui masters, explain to them your situation and ask them to give a second look. I think they'd be happy to help you out. Just a like a doctor - don't you think sometimes you will also go back to the same doctor and ask for a second check-up when the first one diagnosis didn't quite fix the flu ?
Don't worry. Have some faith your Feng Shui masters. I'm sure they'd be able to help you out. Eventhough your sleeping direction is not in accordance to your favorable direction, but as I know very well that there are exceptions to this depending on the design of the house and external features. Perhaps your Feng Shui masters have considered this before recommending you to sleep East? You can check on this too.
Warm Regards, JY
