Dear Lilian, for apartments, we take the facing of the entire building. (I presume you wish to calculate the Flying Star natal chart?). For Life Gua auspicious directions, we can still consider the facing of the unit's door (not balcony though). You can opt for sleeping direction. Stove knobs toward one of the good directions is quite good already. Don't worry, 'Sheng Qi' is not the 'best' direction. (There is no 'best' direction) Cheers! SN
