I have always been fascinated by bazi but have not come across well written ones until I read yrs. I have a few of yr books both in feng shui as well as bazi (all the 3 books). "The Power of X" was very informative and insightful. It provided me with a better perspective of the subject. I have also attended your bazi talks in 2011. 

 However the understanding that I had is only sufficient for me to know that my son's bazi has conflicts all over and is pretty bad. Due to my lack of expertise, I am not able to fully interpret beyond that and I am truly concern for his future well being. Need your help to shed some lights on the below : 

1. My son was born on 16th of May 1998 in Penang at 9.00 a.m. However we all know that M'sia has shifted it's time forward by an hr. Hence should we be using 8.00 a.m. as his time of birth or stick to the M'sian time of 9.00 a.m.? 

 2. Based on the bazi calculator, he has all the conflicting animal in his pillars - year (tiger), month (snake), day (pig) and time (snake). He has clash, harm, combination destruction and ungrateful punishment thru an external clash when he hit his 20s and 30s. It is almost a bumpy emotional ride for him all his life. His chart is also too hot and dry. Does it mean that he will be lonely all his life? As for his health, what shld I be looking out for? How can I help him in overcoming future adversity in life?

1. Stick to the NEW Time. This is affinity. You need to use what was 'given'. BaZi, unlike other arts of Astrology, takes into account the concept of synchronicity and affinity. 

2. No it does not mean that it is going to be lonely. Far from it, I think this chart has a lot of potential to excel abroad. In fact, you need to develop this talents early in life.

In short, there are more positives then negative.
