I am having my wedding ceremony at Miri,Sarawak next year. My close friend who is born in the year of horse is giving birth and my wedding ceremony will fall on the following month. Some old folks mentioned that a woman shouldnt attend any wedding during her course of pregnancy and can only do so AFTER 100 days counting from the day she gives birth, others said 49 days, which is true? And what are the reasons and the possible danger effects to her or us ( bride & groom)?

Don't worry. No such nonsense. These are merely old-wives tales and superstition. Nothing to worry about. There are no such 'taboos' written in any valid Classical literatures of Metaphysics. You may safely invite your friend to your wedding.
