Dear master yap I have come across some feng shui book talking about the facing of a house. One says that the main door must face a certain direction in order to determine the direction of the house. Another says that the LOCATION of the door determines the direction, here the main door may be located at the (says) Northwest sector but the door is facing NORTH.So what is the position of the door with regard to the house ? Is it considered North or Northwest ? What would the difference from feng shui point of view ? Thanks

Dear Yap Pak Choong, If your door FACES West and is in the facing of the house then the house fases West. It is not the location of the door. It is where the door is facing. The facing of the house is where the most yang side of the house faces. If the main door is not in this facing direction then the house will need to be measured from where the wall of the house faces. Regards Di
