Dear Master Yap, I enjoyed your TV show very much. I have attended one fengshui course by another master where I was taught that under the 8 Mansions, the Sheng Chi is ALWAYS at the facing palace. And the element for Sheng Chi is wood. Therefore, it is auspicious to have a water feature near the main door entrance to the house. Is this true? Thank you for your taking your time to answer my question.

Dear Alan, Could it be that you've accidently heard wrongly? In Eight Mansions, the Sheng Qi is never always fixed at the facing palace. Sometimes in a class students can accidently copy the wrong notes. One you've got correct though, the Sheng Qi does indeed belong to the wood element. Warm Regards, JY
