Hello Mr. Joey Yap. Hi my name is Daniel See. I as a Christian would like to know whether Christians can practice Feng Shui. Feng Shui is connected with idolatry worship & superstitious practices. Is it true? Thank's.

Dear Daniel, Feng Shui is NOT related to idols or 'believing'. It never was since 2000 years ago. What you may have been exposed to is 'New Age' Feng Shui which uses objects to so-call change their luck. Feng Shui essentially, is the study of Qi. Qi (energy) is indescriminate and is there whether we like it or not. For example, we don't have to believe in gravity to be affected by it. [Interestingly, energy with a natural tendency to move downwards (like gravity) was termed as 'Water Qi' that long ago] There are no 'practices' in Feng Shui, other than finding the spot with the kind of Qi you want, and being there. If you encounter an event which requires idols and practices that seem peculiar to you, I would urge you to follow your instincts and avoid them! Do write in again if you have any other doubts. Cheers! Sn
